Study less,
remember more

A flashcard app that works out when you are about to forget something — and asks you right then.

Free for 14 days. iPhone and iPad, iOS 17.6 or later. In English, Spanish, French and German.

No ads. No tracking. No analytics. Nothing is collected, ever.

What it does

Asks at the right moment

Cadence uses FSRS, the same modern scheduling algorithm serious learners rely on. Every review teaches it a little more about how you forget, and the gaps widen as the memory holds.

Thirty seconds is a session

Open it, see what is due, grade a card with one tap. Two buttons by default — got it, or missed it. Four if you want the finer grain.

Cards from what you already have

Photograph a page of notes, import a PDF, a slide deck or a spreadsheet, or paste text straight in. You review and edit every card before a single one is saved.

Brings your Anki decks with you

Import an .apkg and it keeps what matters: your tags, your cloze deletions, and years of review history. A deck arrives on its real schedule, not as thousands of cards due at once.

Works on a plane

Everything runs on your device with no account and no connection. iCloud sync keeps your iPhone and iPad together when you want it, through your own Apple account.

Built to be readable

Every control is labelled for VoiceOver, the type scales to 200%, and nothing important is signalled by colour alone.

Pricing

Fourteen days free, with the whole app unlocked and no feature held back. It becomes a subscription after that — Cadence tells you so plainly before the trial starts, and you can cancel any time from your iPhone’s Settings. Or pay once and never think about it again.

US prices. The App Store shows the price in your own currency before you pay.

If a subscription lapses

Cadence becomes read‑only. Your cards stay on your device, your review history is untouched, and export stays available. Falling behind on a payment is not a reason to hold someone’s work hostage.

The privacy part, in full

Most study apps say something like this. Here is the whole of ours:

  • No analytics. Not “anonymised” analytics — none at all.
  • No advertising, and no advertising frameworks in the app.
  • No third‑party SDKs. Not for payments, not for crash reports, not for anything.
  • No account to create. There is nothing to sign up for.
  • Your cards are on your device. iCloud sync, if you turn it on, goes to your own Apple account — never to a server of ours, because we do not have one.
  • Cadence’s App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected, which is the strongest one Apple offers.
