Getting started

Make a deck, add a few cards, and tap Study. Cadence works out when to show each card again based on how easily you recalled it — you do not have to set intervals or configure anything. The defaults are good.

Bringing decks from Anki

Export your deck from Anki as an .apkg file, then in Cadence tap Add on the deck list and choose Import from Anki. Your tags, cloze deletions and review history come across, so cards stay on the schedule they had earned rather than arriving all due at once.

Making cards from your notes

Tap + inside a deck. You can photograph a page, scan text with the camera, import a PDF, slide deck or spreadsheet, paste text, or write a card by hand. Whatever you choose, you see every card in an editable list and nothing is saved until you tap Add.

Syncing between devices

Sign both devices into the same iCloud account and turn iCloud on for Cadence in your device settings. Sync happens through your own Apple account. Cadence works fully offline without it.

Falling behind

If cards pile up while you are away, Cadence offers to spread them over the next few days so no single day is impossible. Nothing is deleted and your review history is not changed — only the day each card is next asked for.

Managing your subscription

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. To change or cancel one, open the Settings app on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the renewal; you keep access until the period you have paid for ends.

If a subscription lapses, Cadence becomes read‑only. Your cards stay, your review history stays, and you can still study and export. Subscribing again restores adding and editing.

Refunds

Refunds are issued by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Accessibility

Cadence supports VoiceOver throughout, scales to the largest Dynamic Type sizes, and honours Reduce Motion. If something is hard to use with an assistive technology, please write in — that is treated as a bug, not a feature request.
